We are a community of Christians who create Christian culture through tabletop games, fiction, and other imaginative hobbies. Members must agree to a few rules, most notably being Christian (as defined below). Our other rules are largely meant to help preserve the internal peace of our community. Love one another, and be kind!

Becoming a member is simple — just agree to the below rules and join one of our social media discussion groups (Discord and Facebook).

The Rules

Be Kind and Courteous — The Saga Society is a community of tabletop gamers that treat everyone with respect and love.  All members strive to promote a welcoming environment for everyone.  Kindness is required here. It is important that we preserve the inner peace of the group. Members who disturb the peace of the group will have their offending post removed and receive a warning; repeat offenders will be banned.

Stay On-Topic About Tabletop Roleplaying Games — This group is for Christians, who affirm the Nicene Creed, to preserve and create Christian culture through tabletop RPGs.  It is not for politics, memes, board games, video games, pop culture, etc.  Any comment not related to tabletop RPGs may be deleted.

Doctrine is okay, but relate it to Tabletop Roleplaying Games — Doctrinal discussion is okay, but only related to our mission. We’re not here to debate doctrine, but applying and using it is fine.

Trinitarianism and Incarnation = Christian  — We hold the traditional definition of “Christian” as summarized by The Nicene Creed which includes the core beliefs of Trinitarianism (3 divine Persons, 1 divine Essence) and orthodox Christology (1 Person, 2 Natures). Do not promote theology, views, or values that conflict with traditional Christian doctrines, ethics, and practices.

No Partisan/Ideology Politics — Evil kings and space tyrants (in tabletop RPGs) are pretty much the limit of political discussion for this group. We do not allow denominational or jurisdictional bashing or fighting.  Any member discussion veering into politics outside of tabletop RPG will have this post removed and receive a warning; repeat offenders will be banned.

Limited Self-Promotion — We are eager to promote the artwork, hobby talent, and game systems of our members.  We ask that you contact one of our Admins for permission to advertise your products.

No Piracy – None! — Do not share or post links to copyrighted, illegal PDFs. Piracy is a bannable offense.

Keep it Family Friendly — We sometimes play tabletop games with complex, adult themes.  Content posted in one of our online communities should not scandalize or violate anyone’s conscience and should always be safe to view at work and with.

Prayer Requests — People share personal concerns here—prayer requests, doubts, struggles, questions—we attempt to maintain an atmosphere that respects that vulnerability. There is no guarantee of anonymity, however, so share your darkest secrets with hundreds of people at your own discretion.

Don’t Just Re-Share — If you are going to post here, engage in conversation. Don’t just post a link without commentary, and don’t just re-share posts you’ve already made in other places. (Re-sharing can be okay, but if it’s all you ever do, then it’s clear you’re not really here.) This group isn’t a dumping ground but is meant to be for discussion. Show that you’re invested.
